About the Sale
Since our first sale in 1968, the Michiana Mennonite Relief Sale has been raising funds to support the projects and programs of Mennonite Central Committee, a worldwide ministry of Anabaptist churches. MCC shares God’s love and compassion for all in the name of Christ by responding to basic human needs and working for peace and justice. The sale is one of 30 relief sale events in the U.S. and Canada that together raise over $4 million annually. The sale is made possible with the help of hundreds of volunteers who contribute their time and resources.
Attendees can purchase a variety of donated items in the auctions; craft, dried flower, plant and Ten Thousand Villages booths, as well as all of the many food booths. Other events include a Pickleball Tournament (new this year!) Run for Relief, music and children's activities.
We strive to make the Relief Sale as low-waste as possible. You can help by bringing a water bottle, taking care to sort the items you are throwing out into the correct bins and helping your friends and family do the same. There is a bottle-filling station at the fairgrounds and trash and recycling bins will have instructions on how to sort your trash.
Total proceeds from the 2024 Sale were approximately $420,000. Thank you to everyone who supported the Sale and MCC’s relief work around the world.
